Sunday Night!

Sunday Night….

Confused in its run to be first day of the week or last day of the week, Sunday has always been a sore loser.

Most of the weeks it starts on a very high note. One more day off the mundane weekday routine. But sooner than later, it starts drooping down. Like a flower wilting in a time lapse video.

Morning energy of a holiday soon starts to wear down. All that you could accomplish until noon loses all its triumph as you doze off for a quick innocent nap.

One short nap, supposedly for few minutes, innocently extends to few hours until late in the evening. And as you wake up in that dark gloomy room, that was light and bright few minutes ago, soon seems like a shady corner where no good can ever be felt.

With the guilt of having overslept and wasting the day, as you drag yourself out of that bed, you can only think of two possible ends to the day. 1. Forget everything and go back to bed – that gives you so many more hours of sleep before Monday. OR 2. Turn the day around, go out and have the best evening.

How much ever exciting option number 2 sounds, we often end up living option 1 or somewhere not so much in the middle of 1 and 2, where we pull ourselves out of bed to eat a little dinner, watch a little tv and eventually with a very heavy heart go back to sleep.

That’s the sad story of a Sunday night. Which mostly is never very bright!
