Andaman & Nicobar Islands – Day 4 Pt 2

Day 4 : Havelock Island, Scuba Diving, Water Sports, Glass Bottom Boat Ride, Radhanagar Beach

Our first scuba dive was just perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was so gratifying to be able to actually tick it off our bucket list. We were in absolute joy! (Click here to read the scuba blog… or you can simply watch the enchanting life underwater in this video)

But, the amusement wasn’t over yet. We had a full day of water sports, snorkeling, glass bottom boat ride, enchanting sunset and a candle light beach-side dinner awaiting us.

Our boat picked us up from the diving site and dropped us at a beautiful beach nearby which was bustling with water sports and so many fun activities.

If you are at all adventurous and do not mind the scare of slipping into water mid sea, you would definitely love some of these insane rides. The Aquaglide ride was my personal favourite! It really got our adrenaline going. We had a fun afternoon on this beach enjoying the waters, drinking cool coconut water and relishing the fresh fruit inside.

After an exhilarating afternoon we took a short ferry ride back to Havelock where we had lunch at this cute little restaurant close to Radhanagar beach, which was our final destination for the evening.

Radhanagar beach is said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Asia. And I don’t doubt it even for a second.

The place was absolutely breathtaking! Pristine beach with white powder sand, tall green trees, astounding view of the vast blue ocean and the most beautiful sunset. We even had quite a few tiny little friends creating these lovely pearl-ish patterns in the sand, throughout the beach. It was just calming to watch nature in all it’s glory presenting this spectacular view for us to just soak in. We stayed there until sunset, soaking in the beauty and just chilling in the moment.

After sunset, we went back to our resort where the hotel staff arranged a beautiful candle light dinner for us on the private beach with food, slow music and lots of lanterns. It was the best way to end the perfect day full of new adventures. We raised a toast to our first dive and just swayed into the night with some delicious food, sounds of the shore and relaxing music.

Content with our day and overjoyed with our first ever scuba experience, we slept really well that night.

While I had almost ticked everything off of my list of things to do on this trip, Mayank still had one thing left. I am not a very early morning person, so I would never understand his motivation, but he always, always gets up early to enjoy the sunrise from the most amazing spots he manages to find at every destination. And that night I remember him leading a group of sunrise enthusiasts planning an early morning visit to some secluded beach to witness the sunrise.

I was just happy that he found company, so I can happily stay in bed for as long as I want. Also, on some level I was very sure that none of them would wake up after such an eventful day on the beach. So, I could not care less about what they were up to. I just came to our room, snugged into my soft, comfy blanket and dozed off into my serene slumber.

That was our scuba day at Havelock! The best it could ever be!

See you on the other side of the night to find out if Mayank and his friends actually made it to the sunrise spot next morning.

Until then… Lights out..!!
